GALA CHARITY DINNER & DANCE

The Empress Building will host a Gala dinner featuring a line-up of sporting legends.

It gives us great pleasure to announce that the Historic Empress Ballroom in Mexborough will play host to a gala evening of fine Goan cuisine, plus a whole suite of live entertainment. On October 15th 2022, up to 250 guests will be wowed throughout the night by a stage performance from a celebrated tribute to the popular pop star Pink, as well as comedy entertainment and a charity auction, hosted by special guest compere, the hilarious Josh Daniels. The evening is held in support of the Dearne Valley Personal Development Centre and represents a fantastic opportunity for businesses to show support to an honourable cause, whilst raising their profile with peers, and a chance to extend their business network.

Further to the on-stage entertainment, there will be appearances from some legends of Mexborough’s fine sporting heritage, including:

  • John Jo Irwin - former British and Gold Medal Commonwealth Featherweight Champion

  • Dennis Priestly former World Darts champion

  • Tommy Joyce - MBE former commonwealth bronze medallist.

  • Allen Richardson - former British boxing champion and bronze commonwealth champion

  • Mark Epton, former commonwealth silver medallist

  • Graham Oliver, founding member of the popular heavy metal band Saxon

Alongside renowned celebrity and sporting names from the last few decades. There will be some signed memorabilia from Junior Witter, the former world boxing welterweight champion.

Tickets can be purchased individually at £65 or as discounted bundles of ten for a full table at £600, with all prices including VAT. Considering the vast array of entertainment, as well as the three-course meal, this represents phenomenal value.
